About the CTCA UK

The Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations (UK) [“CTCA (UK)”] is a non-profit umbrella organisation representing 22 British Turkish Cypriot Non-Governmental Organisations based throughout the United Kingdom.

The Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations (UK) [“CTCA (UK)”] is a non-profit umbrella organisation representing 22 British Turkish Cypriot Non-Governmental Organisations based throughout the United Kingdom. It serves to empower the British Turkish Cypriot community through civic engagement, and to support strong UK-Turkish Cypriot relations through education and advocacy.

Established on 8th March 1983, CTCA (UK) is the largest, democratically elected British Turkish Cypriot membership organisation in the United Kingdom. CTCA (UK) was-founded in an effort to create a national organisation representing the British Turkish Cypriot community. CTCA (UK) is dedicated to pursuing the interests of British Turkish Cypriots and friends of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and beyond.

CTCA (UK) is an influential and fast growing organisation that pursues the interests of British Turkish Cypriots and contributes to the strengthening of relations between the United Kingdom and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In order to fulfil its mission and objectives, CTCA (UK) undertakes a number of activities through its members to promote the rich traditions, art and heritage of the Turkish Cypriot People.

Each member association of CTCA (UK) serves to support its own members through various folklore, literature, musicalc, historical, educational, social and cultural functions/events. CTCA (UK) operates as a conduit within the network of member organisations.

CTCA (UK) hosts one of the most dynamic websites for its members and maintains and extensive e-mail communication network.
